Southeast Dairy Fun

On Saturdays, I will feature some of my favorite memories from the last few years. Think of it as making up for lost time.

I interned in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2010 and visited several friends from across the Southeast during my three months as a Georgia resident.

Berry College in Rome, Georgia, has a BEAUTIFUL campus. If you haven't been there, I would highly recommend it. Yes, we also visited the Berry Dairy (love the name!). I found out that parts of Sweet Home Alabama (my favorite movie!) was filmed at Oak Hill on the Berry Campus.

I visited one of my Wazzu college friends that was getting her Ph.D. at N.C. State in Raleigh one weekend, and of course we went to see cows!

Spent another weekend in Florida visiting some friends. We went scalloping off the Gulf coast of Florida. We crammed a lot into three days: dairy visits (no vacation is complete without them!!), drove to the Gulf (and almost ended up in Tallahassee...) and drove to St. Augustine. The pic is from the boat while we were cruising around the Gulf.

My roommates and I were all from out of town, so we spent a weekend being tourists in Atlanta. One of the things we did was tour the CNN Center.

This was the actual reason I was in Atlanta: interning at the dairy association. It was great!!
