So, let's see if I can keep up with this 31 days of blogging and find something to write about each day this month.
How is it already October?! Time is flying by way too quickly lately. It needs to slow down. I know, I know...good luck with that.
After yoga class at the gym last night I saw a flyer about yoga month and was about to get super excited about October being national yoga month. I looked it up when I got home only to find that SEPTEMBER was national yoga month. I missed it! And an opportunity to write about it. I was too busy actually doing yoga to celebrate. Ironic?
My back certainly appreciates when I make it a priority. I always thought yoga was a bit ridiculous and something only super flexible people with too much time on their hands did. Then one day at the gym in the end of 2012 curiosity got the best of me and I decided to see what this yoga nonsense was about. All of that stretching and focusing on breathing (and actually relaxing) helped me sleep sooo well. I also felt better.

When I moved back to Indy earlier this year, I decided that instead of going to the chiropractor once or twice a month, I'd make my weekly yoga classes a priority. So far, I've been able to avoid the chiropractor. Yay! I know I won't be able to avoid it forever, but it's working for now.
I have a (REALLY!) hard time relaxing, so this new hobby is definitely a good thing. When you've been pushing yourself so hard for so long, it's hard to slow down, relax and take it easy. Much easier said than done. Ask my friends.
