The best way to end the work week

It's always great when a farm visit or "destination meeting" falls on a Friday. This past Friday, we had a local foods meeting in northeast Indiana, hosted by Pete Eshelman, owner of restaurant Joseph Decuis in Roanoke. Not only is Pete a restaurant owner, but also a farmer. His Wagyu beef cattle reside a few miles from the restaurant at the farm that also hosts local events and even weddings. Such a picturesque farm.

Joseph Decuis creates a truly 'farm to fork' experience for guests.

After the meeting, Pete was kind enough to give us a tour of the farm and of the restaurant. If you are ever in or near Roanoke, Indiana, I highly recommend you check this place out. The farm offers tours by appointment only, so be sure to plan ahead on that part.

A lot of weddings are held at this part of the farm, and I can see why. So beautiful.
Pete explaining the history of the farm, restaurant and the town
If you like wine and good food, you definitely want to check this place out!
Southern chicken good!
